Pictures of Herkimer Diamonds - Many Types - And There Association with Other Minerals
The photography is the largest section on this website, and the reason for that is twofold. First -the public now has access collection of photos
showing ALL of the different minerals that occur in the Herkimer mining district (in association with the occurence of Herkimer diamonds). Second,
there is now a description of how these minerals relate to making Herkimer diamonds (click next at the bottom to see the photo index).

Every Photo will Have Identification
A fact know by Herkimer diamond
collectors is that each mine is slightly
different. In the photos throughout
this website we will use abreviations
on the photo to designate where the
specimen came from. Those
abreviations are as follows:
In addition every photo will be high quality
and will have as much reference information
as we can provide - as shown in the six
examples here.
